TAHOE!!!

Hey everyone! I’m almost done with my trip to Tahoe and it’s been amazing. It started off super warm and we were riding some great terrain parks at Sierra and Northstar and then during the second half of the trip it got cold and we got a lot of powder! I’ll post about the pow soon, but in the meantime you can check out a video from Girl Powder’s Queen of the Park at Squaw Valley. The contest was super fun and I got second!

Hi Everyone!

Hey everybody. Sorry it’s been so long since I updated my blog. I hope you’re having a great season! I’ve been busy with school and riding a bunch. It’s been a fun season and I’ve been doing well in competitions. This past weekend I did a really cool photo and video shoot and I got to ride with 2 other Burton riders - Brock Crouch and Gabe Ferguson. They were super fun to ride with! Most of it was in our backyard. Anthony from First Tracks Productions came to shoot video. And Blotto a photographer from Burton shot photos. He posted a bit about it on his blog and you can see more about it here - http://www.blottophotto.com/blogs/bd/2010/02/13/Backyard-Bonanza/

I promise to come back soon and when I do I’ll have new pics and video for you guys to check out!!!

Walker Art Center - October 2009

Today I went to the Walker Art Center. It was the first time for me to
go to an art museum. It was really cool. Some stuff was weird. I don’t
think I would call everything art. The had one thing that was a metal
square in the corner. I think I could do better. The had these really
cool glass things hanging from the ceiling. I kind of look like ice
cubes. I really wanted to go outside and walk through the sculptor
garden, but it was raining outside. I don’t mind getting wet, but I
don’t think my dad wanted to get wet. There was this computer dolphin
that was suppose to answer all your questions. But it kept on messing
up and saying crazy things. Here’s a picture of a sculptor at the
museum.
Most of the art at this museum was really weird. My dad said it was
more modern art.

New School - September 2009

I started a new school this year. I am doing online school. Its hard
because everything is in english. I really miss speaking spanish all
day. Its nice though because I have really long days on Monday and
Tuesday. Then the rest of the week I have very little work to do. So
I’ll be able to travel and train more during the day. Were also going
to visit a bunch of place for school, so that should be fun. With my
online school they put me in highschool spanish 3. Its kindof boring
though. Not as much fun as learning at Park Spanish Immersion. My
favorite class is art though. I could do art all day long. But I only
have art class twice a week.

Summer/Fall 2009

So my dad made a ramp so that we can ride on year around. Its really
fun during the summer and fall. We have lots of people come over and
ride. We setup boxes and rails. We even put a quarter pipe up this
year. Its fun riding when its warm, but sometimes I get to hot. And I
have to bug spray on all the time. I usually get bug bites. Its fun
though.  The ramps sort of soft. So if I crash I don’t get hurt. The
skiers that come over and ride seem to crash all the time. I think
skiers are pretty crazy sometimes. It really nice when we get snow
from the ice rink. Then everything is a lot faster.

Whistler - June 2009

The thing I hate most about traveling is driving. We seem to drive and
drive and drive. My dad doesn’t like to stop a lot. He likes to get
there right away. When we go to Whistler this is a super long trip.
Sometimes I get sick, because food on the road is the best for you. We
stayed in a condo with our friends the Borms. Willie Borm is a
freeskier. We ride lots of place together. Ok, my favorite thing to do
in whistler is not snowboarding. I love snowboarding, but I really
love the Rocks and Gems store. They have so many interesting things to
look at. I think I go there almost every day. So I like the chair lift
up to the glacier. It takes a long time. This year we saw a lot of
bears and even a cub. One of the days coming down from the glacier my
dad and I decided to hike down. It was really hard. We could find the
a trail, but my dad knew where we were going. It took a long time,
thankfully we got down before the last chair. We decided then to take
the new gondola that goes across two mountains. We waited forever and
ever for the glass bottom gondola to come. Finally we hopped in. What
a disappointment. Way to slow!!! And not as scary as I wanted it to
be. I really like roller coaster and I was hoping it when kindof be
like a rollercoaster. Wille’s friend Sammy Carlson also stayed in the
same building. Him and Tommie are really fun. We spent a lot of time
kicking a soccer ball around in the air. Tammie Borm dyes my hair and
she even did Sammies. At whistler I ride at Camp of Champions. Last
year I rode there half-pipe most of the time. This year it was super
small so I just rode a bunch of rails and boxes. Thats the other thing
this year. It seemed to rain or lot or be foggy. So I didn’t ride as
much as last year. Other then that I think thats it.
